Building an international project like the Kábrt Cup is not a matter of months. The Polish edition alone took me almost three years before it was ready to run at full strength. Behind every single step there is an enormous amount of work, time, courage and personal investment. As a father of two, I know very well that this path is not an easy one. Yet I keep going every day, because I believe that what we are building together truly matters — not just to me, but above all to thousands of dancers, teachers, parents and the whole dance community. The Kábrt Cup did not appear overnight. It is a long-term journey built on values, persistence and the belief that dance can bring people together across Europe. Many would have given up long ago. I believe the best is still ahead of us.
Behind every great project there are, first and foremost, people. Working with them is one of my greatest joys. I love searching for shared solutions, exchanging ideas and building something of lasting value step by step. One of the best examples is our registration and competition system. It did not come together in a few months — we keep developing it around the real needs of the Kábrt Cup. Few people realise how complex a system has to be to reliably serve an international competition with thousands of dancers, spectators, judges and organisers. These are investments visitors never see at first glance, yet they are exactly what allows the whole project to run at a high level. I am grateful to be surrounded by excellent partners and specialists who share the same vision. Everyone contributes their part, and together we assemble the project like a mosaic in which every detail has to fit perfectly. My studies at the TCP Dance Conservatory in Prague were another great inspiration. That is where I gained valuable experience not only in dance, but also in how large artistic and production projects come to life. I draw on that experience every single day while building both Kábrt Company and the Kábrt Cup.
The Kábrt Cup is a dream come true
When we held the very first edition back in 2019, I had no idea where dance would take us. Today we stand before a season that unites eleven European countries under one flag — and that still moves me every single time.
Before I started shaping the concept of the Kábrt Cup, I had travelled across almost the entire Czech Republic and spent many years working abroad. I taught in dance schools, private studios and the state education system. I trained judges, cooperated with a range of dance associations and got to know very different approaches to running competitions. Those years made me realise that dance competitions should never be only about results. Above all they should build values — respect, mutual support, inspiration and a sense of belonging. Not just among children and youth, but among adults too. That is why the Kábrt Cup concept is different in many ways. Every decision we make has a reason behind it, and all of them come from one conviction: dance connects people. One of the clearest examples is our awards ceremony, which we always hold at the very end of the competition day. Many competitions announce results discipline by discipline so participants can head home as soon as possible. We see the day as a shared celebration of dance and a gathering of the whole community. Thanks to this format, dancers and spectators stay together until the end. Every competitor performs in front of full stands, gets to watch the others, draw inspiration from their performances and become part of a truly unique atmosphere. That is how respect grows naturally, relationships are built and a community forms in which winning is not the only thing that matters — the shared experience matters just as much. I am convinced this is what gives dance competitions real meaning. And I believe it is also why the Kábrt Cup has become an event that thousands of dancers and spectators are happy to return to year after year.
It matters to me to meet every one of you
I want to meet you in person at the competition and shake your hand. That is why, right before the awards ceremony, we hold a ceremonial entrance in which every dancer walks onto the floor individually through the entry gate. I want each of you to have your own moment under the spotlights, to feel the applause of the crowd and to know that on this stage you are not just a name on a start list, but a person I genuinely value.
For me this is one of the most powerful moments of the whole event. Dancers, coaches, parents and spectators all become part of one big dance family. That is exactly why the Kábrt Cup is more than a competition — it is a celebration of dance, respect and shared memories we love coming back to every year.

The Kábrt Cup has two levels: the national round and the European final. All prices are listed per person and are approximate — the final amount may vary depending on tax regulations and current exchange rates.

Who can enter?+
Any amateur or semi-professional dancer competing in SOLO, DUO, TRIO, TEAM or GROUP within the relevant age category. Professionals compete in Show Dance only.
How does registration work?+
Online through our form, or by e-mail. Once confirmed, you receive the event details, entry fees and accreditation instructions.
How much is the entry fee?+
Couple / category: CZK 1,200 for a national round, CZK 2,400 for the EURO final. A 50% discount applies to every additional category.
Can I come just as a spectator?+
Absolutely — tickets for national rounds start at CZK 450 and for the final in Kraków at CZK 590. On sale from January 2026.
How do dancers qualify for the final?+
Qualification comes from your placement in the national rounds. In the 2027 season the TOP 3 placements in every category of each of the 11 national rounds advance to the EURO KÁBRT CUP final.
